the pink room

November 28, 2009

zora naki

if you have any experience with six-year-old girls, you may find that they have an all-consuming passion for pink. my daughter is no exception. her primary directive for her room was that it be pink. so we complied.

pink wall (just one).

pink closet doors

pink built-in bookcase with plywood shelves

light fixture

the pink princess herself

literally TWO MINUTES after her room was painted, she declared that her new favourite colour was orange.

looks great! love the tri-colored door! We pinked the room my 4-yr and 7-yr old girls share earlier this fall. It’s amazing the weird glow you see from the outside at night! nice job!

My 4 year old granddaughter loves pink, it is her favorite color unless you say it is, then she will tell you her favorite is “toyquoise’, unless you say it is, then it is pink. There is no winning with a 4 year old. so we painted it pale pink and light “toyquoise”. It is a small room, so when she finds a new favorite it will be quick to repaint!

So, I just have been wondering where you are, what is happening? How is the remodel going? We have started out dining room, picking out flooring and changing some doors, windows.
Hope you are well, and prospering.
